Phenolic resin can be prepared by polycondensation of phenols and aldehydes in the presence of acidic or alkaline catalysts. Bakelite powder is obtained by fully mixing phenolic resin with sawn wood powder, talc powder (filler), urotropine (curing agent), stearic acid (lubricant), pigment, etc., and heating and mixing in a mixer. Bakelite powder was heated and pressed in the mold to obtain thermosetting phenolic plastic products.
